Superb!!

ATCBOX has moved…… completely on the new dedicated dual xeon server and the speed is up again!!!! You don’t have to do anything, it’s all automatic. From now on when you visit ATCBOX you’ll be on the new server.

Also the streams are running on this server and for the moment only the Schiphol streams and the Valkenburg stream are online. All the other streams will be there as soon as the members responsable for them have read their email and changed the configuration on their machines. Might take a few days but they will be back soon!

Sventek will continue to optimze the site tonight/tomorrow and several things will return now everything is fast again:

– The block on the right with the latest gallery additions which is very handy to see the new added photos.
– In the forum the preview button will be back…. I really missed this one, it’s quite handy to preview the posting you want to make. We depend on you if this can stay but since your posting is submitted in a few seconds now (instead of 5 to 10 minutes) the chance on double posting is much less. IF IT’S BACK TONIGHT, PRESS SUBMIT ONLY ONCE PLEASE! (this to avoid double postings and a lot of work for PH-RIP and me which will result in the submit button we have now without a preview possibility).

The chatbox has been removed permanently, it was not used too much and causing a lot of problems…….. Sventek will program a new chatbox for ATCBOX in future which will work perfectly.

Furthermore we will be busy with fine tuning the next couple of days…. but it’s more than worth it!! Speed has improved with 500% at least 😉
