New runway lighting for Schiphol

The runway lighting at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is in need of replacement. This is a major project as the entire landing area is equipped with runway lighting, which is operated from the control tower. And all the sites involved are in use 24 hours a day. Over the next few years we will therefore be replacing the lighting runway by runway and adjusting the control tower systems site by site. Gé Smit explains why this is necessary and what it will involve.
