Viewing the radar images with the VNC Viewer (best solution):

Follow the guidelines below.

1. Download the VNC Viewer and put it somewhere on your harddisk.

2. Now open this VNC Viewer by clicking twice on the file: vnc-4_1_1-x86_win32_viewer.exe

3. For Schiphol (close up) you have to fill in: atcbox.com:< today's portnumber >,

For the Netherlands fill in: atcbox.com:< today's portnumber >

!!! Press OK if you already had steps 4 till 6 and continu with step 7.

4. Now click on Options...

Leave everything as it is, also the 64 color mode, if you change this, things won't work.

The only thing you have to put on is this: Shared connection (do not disconnect other viewers)

Full screen mode is optional, if you want it, do it.....

5. Now go to LOAD/SAVE and Defaults Save:

Doing this, the next time you startup the VNC viewer you can press OK immediatelly disregarding steps 4 till 6

6. Click OK and you'll see the first screen again:

7. Click OK and a password is asked:

8. fill in the password: < today's password > press OK.

9. If it doesn't work for whatever reason (Mac users i.e.) you can alternativelly use the links given on top of this page.

Viewing the radar images with another VNC Viewer (good solution and optical zoom function):

This one also works on mobile devices!!!

Note in advance: .NET Framework has to be installed (mostly it is).

Follow the guidelines below.

1. Download the alternate VNC Viewer, unzip it and put it somewhere on your harddisk.

2. Now open this VNC Viewer by clicking twice on the file: vncviewer.exe

3. Fill in Server and password.

Server: for Schiphol (close up) you have to fill in: atcbox.com::< today's portnumber >,

for the Netherlands fill in: atcbox.com::< today's portnumber >

note: use double :: else it won't work!

Password: < today's password >

If you want you can force 16bit colors like this:

Now you can go to FULL SCREEN mode via the menu:

To aktivate the menu in full screen mode press and hold your RIGHT mouse button. (wait for the circle to complete 360 degrees)

Also in the menu you can choose: client-side scaling.

Choosing 2 of server, your image is optically zoomed in twice and with custom you can set your own preferenced zoom level.

Solution for MAC users:

Download Chicken of the VNC here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc/

Install the .DMG file and start it up.

Fill in these things:

Host: atcbox.com:< today's portnumber > or atcbox.com:< today's portnumber > (for the Netherlands)

Password: < today's password >

The rest you see in the picture below:

Click CONNECT and happy viewing!

Solution for Linux users:

Download the vncviewer software for your particular distribution from:

http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=tightvnc

or here

http://www.tightvnc.com/download.html

Choose the tightvnc-1.2.9-1.i386.rpm

Doubleclick and install the RPM (you will need administrator privileges)

Once installed you can open a console window

Type vncviewer atcbox.com::< today's portnumber > or vncviewer atcbox.com::< today's portnumber >
depending on which radar view you want to see

Press Enter

Enter password: < today's password >

Minimize console window if necessary

NB.Shared is set as standard so no need to change that.
