SBS-1 Live Radar project
Last few weeks we have been very busy with the SBS-1 Live Radar project we are setting up.
In this forum topic you can read everything regarding the progress.
Meanwhile member Pan-Pan created already a lot of outlines which are beautifull to load into your SBS-1 system. Mind you, the files are only interesting if you have a SBS-1 yourself. Take a look at the SBS-1 Radar page and all the EHAA files are his work, THANK YOU for that Pan-Pan and I know you are still busy with the rest of the Netherlands. This page will be updated reguraly with new files or improved files.
Another nice feature is that the logfiles created by the BaseStation can be converted and loaded into Google Earth, which you can download for free. By doing this you can see the flight tracks 3 dimensionally and also follow a flightpath. To learn more about this, start reading here in the specific forum topic.
On the SBS-1 Radar page (scroll down a bit) you will find a logfile which I created today. Download (for free) and load the files into Google Earth and see all the movements above the Netherlands today from 13:30 till 20:30.
To see what type of aircraft and what flightnumber it has, you need to put all the info in a UserData-base and member stevenf is helping us GREATLY and submits updates all the time. Also downloadable on the SBS-1 radar page. A big thank you to stevenf on this one!
This great project is sponsored by www.aerotrading.nl, officially announced on this page (click the link and scroll down a bit). If you want a really nice tool and descide to buy one, www.aerotrading.nl is the place to be.
We are planning to go live (for goldmembers only) in a few weeks, keep you posted in the specific forum topic!
